Diesel Mechanic/Technician

  1. Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of agricultural equipment such as tractors, combines, and implements.
  2. Conduct thorough inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in farm machinery and implement appropriate repairs.
  3. Troubleshoot and repair engine systems, drivetrains, hydraulic systems, and electrical components to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
  4. Install, calibrate, and test precision farming technologies including GPS guidance systems, auto-steer systems, and yield monitors.
  5. Provide technical support and assistance to farmers and agricultural clients, addressing equipment concerns and offering solutions to improve performance.
  6. Maintain accurate records of service activities, parts used, and maintenance schedules using computerized systems or software.
  7. Collaborate with parts department to ensure availability of necessary parts and components for repairs and maintenance tasks.
  8. Conduct equipment demonstrations and training sessions for customers on proper operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends, new equipment models, and technological advancements to provide informed recommendations to clients.
  10. Adhere to safety protocols, regulations, and standards while working on agricultural equipment to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
