Location: Santa Claus, Indiana Area 



Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate supports daily feed mill operations by retrieving inventory to fulfill customer orders and accurately adding feed ingredients according to batch and ration sheets. This is a full-time position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive and document bagged and bulk feed ingredients in compliance with State Chemist regulations, FDA requirements, and company policies.

  • Notify the site supervisor of any quality or quantity discrepancies.

  • Collect and retain samples of feed ingredients and finished feed according to regulatory and company standards.

  • Perform housekeeping and routine maintenance tasks and complete required documentation.

  • Assist with warehouse inventory management to ensure product freshness and operational efficiency.

  • Procure feed ingredients for customer orders and production needs.

  • Assist with manufacturing, mixing, and bagging feed for floor stock.

  • Follow ration sheets accurately, calculate mixture percentages, and apply proper animal health product levels daily.

  • Maintain daily feed run sheets and batch mix records for all manufactured feed.

  • Keep the feed mill and storage facilities clean, organized, and in proper working condition.

  • Assist with monthly and annual inventory counts and recordkeeping.

  • Load customer orders at the dock and address customer needs or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Participate in cross-training across all areas of feed mill operations.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Manager.


Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or agricultural operations preferred.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • On-the-job training provided by a department trainer.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to listen, understand, and follow instructions accurately.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

  • Manual dexterity to safely operate machinery and equipment.

  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and tolerate typical plant-related noise, dust, and odors.
