Position: Vice President – Crop Protection & Seed

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to serve as Vice President of Crop Protection & Seed. This role is responsible for driving the overall vision, strategy, and execution of seed and crop protection initiatives, ensuring alignment with agronomic trends, customer needs, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate brings both technical expertise and business leadership to advance product lines and position the organization as an industry leader in crop input solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long-term strategies for seed and crop protection product lines.
- Lead cross-functional teams across product development, agronomy, sales, and marketing.
- Oversee innovation, research, and development initiatives for new product opportunities.
- Ensure product portfolios align with evolving market needs, industry standards, and sustainability goals.
- Collaborate closely with regulatory, legal, and compliance teams to maintain adherence to safety and environmental standards.
- Support marketing and commercial teams to drive adoption, penetration, and revenue growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, growers, and industry partners.
- Monitor and respond to market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agribusiness, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in seed, crop protection, or agronomic inputs.
- Proven track record of team leadership, business strategy, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Deep understanding of agronomic principles, crop input technologies, and agricultural markets.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with agricultural regulatory environments and stewardship best practices.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel frequently to field sites, customer locations, and industry events.
- Comfortable working in varied agricultural environments and weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
