Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled MIG Welder to join our team and contribute to the fabrication and assembly of metal components. The ideal candidate should have experience in MIG welding techniques, be detail-oriented, and ensure high-quality welds that meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding to join, fabricate, and repair metal parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine job specifications.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring proper gas flow, wire speed, and heat settings.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure welds meet structural and aesthetic requirements.
• Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals as required.
• Operate and maintain welding machines and related tools in safe and proper working condition.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing proper PPE and ensuring a hazard-free workspace.
• Perform grinding, cutting, and finishing tasks to refine welded structures.
• Collaborate with fabricators, engineers, and supervisors to ensure project completion.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any defects or equipment issues.

Requirements:

• Experience: 2 years of MIG welding experience in a professional setting.
• Certification: AWS or other welding certifications preferred (but not always required).
• Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and work in various positions.
• Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of workplace safety, PPE, and OSHA guidelines.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to produce clean, precise, and durable welds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with TIG welding, Stick welding, or Flux-Core welding.
• Familiarity with metal fabrication tools (grinders, saws, plasma cutters, etc.).
• Forklift or overhead crane operation experience is a plus.
