Basic Repairs: Perform minor repairs on equipment under the supervision of a mechanic or manager. Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and preparing machinery for field use.
Equipment Preparation: Help prepare equipment for field operations, ensuring everything is in working order before it leaves the shop.
Welding and Fabrication: Assist with basic welding and fabrication projects to repair or modify equipment as needed.
Safety and Compliance: Follow all company and safety guidelines when operating equipment or working in the shop. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Delivery and Transport: Safely drive and operate trucks to transport agricultural products, equipment, and supplies between locations.
Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring items are secured for transport. Use forklifts, hand trucks, or other tools to move heavy items when necessary.
Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any issues to management and assist with basic maintenance or repairs as needed.
Documentation: Complete required paperwork for deliveries, including logs, trip reports, and delivery confirmations. Ensure accurate records are maintained for all deliveries and pick-ups.
Route Planning: Plan routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. Communicate with dispatch or management regarding any issues or delays.
Safety and Compliance: Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations related to driving commercial vehicles.
