Parts Specialist

Position Title: Parts Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Identify and determine customers' needs for parts through effective communication.
  • Provide accurate information regarding availability, pricing, and specifications of parts.
  • Utilize parts catalogs, manuals, and computerized inventory systems to locate and identify parts.
  • Order parts from suppliers and manufacturers as required, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Ensure that parts are correctly labeled, organized, and stored.
  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demands.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations.
  • Manage and process returns, warranties, and defective parts according to company policies.
  • Promote and sell parts to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Assist in merchandising and displaying parts in the store.
  • Participate in promotional events and activities to increase sales.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to customers regarding the installation and use of parts.
  • Stay updated with the latest product knowledge and industry trends.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, orders, and inventory.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payment transactions.
  • Assist in preparing reports and documentation as required by the Parts Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a parts department, preferably in an agricultural or automotive environment.
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural equipment and parts.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient in using computerized inventory systems and parts catalogs.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
